
I have over the years developed myself in handling the different front office operations. Over the Maldives and built myself over the years for leading and maintaining and building consistency in front office teams with strong leadership strategies that are focused in team building mechanisms that I have learnt from my previous experiences. Along with this I always aim to bring the best out of the organization I am employed by and to bring out the best in the team, while I focus on ways to develop myself with organized time management along with accomplishing tasks that are organized from high priority to low priority
Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, ensuring employee productivity, monitoring efficiency of all processes and creating a positive work environment for employees. You will also meet regularly with upper management to stay up-to-date with organizational changes, issues and improvements.
Lead and perform all front desk duties including check-ins, checkouts, reservations, guest phone messages and special requests. Supervisors ensure that guests experience a great stay. 6 months at Furaveri was spent without a manager or an Assistant Manager, which gave me the opportunity handle big operations under pressure and build a multi-tasking pattern of work while monitoring all the expenses, sales and inventory of the hotel along with directing the team towards, weekly, monthly and yearly goals.
As a supervisor and maintaining a team of seven GRO’s, four bell attendants along with six call center/ front desk agents and two excursion guides. Maintained whole front office operation with guidance from GSM & FOM along with the help of the whole team present, busiest and most knowledgeable season during my career until now has been the time I have spent here, which allowed me to fill in some knowledge gaps between FO operations & Revenue and Reservations.
As a butler I learned and understood the full concept of the service side of the front office and as butler acquired the F&B knowledge that a butler needs. Looked after high-profile and important guests during my time with the hotel. And focused on filling knowledge gaps inside of the FO operations and learned how it gets divided in to sections and how to attend to issues from all perceptions of a FO team.
Worked as GRO in attending guests from a new perspective and learned the required operation and various knowledge in the role of a GRO and became a butler for the company and assisted in setting up on the butler concept present at One&Only. I learned a lot about a deferent role of front office as a GRO/Butler for the hotel. Assisted in updating the hotels front office SOP to LHW standards along with FOS & FOM.
Worked as receptionist and when required as a cashier and learned the full-frontal operation of a hotel and started my career here. Working closely with airport, reservations, TMA/MAT, Guest information, call center and looking after the boat movements of the hotel. As a CSR initiative for the hotel, started using recycled paper for all in house front office printing requirements, learned a lot of deferent operations in details during my time here.
Learning the much-needed operation of the Hotel business and required service standards for the specific brands. Worked with front office, Housekeeping, food & beverage operations, reservations within one year to acquire the knowledge of the different departments.
